Founding terms
These terms cover use of the Umber website, free previews, founding access requests, partner applications, and Make Ten submissions. Exact paid-plan scope and billing terms are shown before payment.
Eligibility and acceptable use
You must be able to enter a binding agreement and may use Umber only for lawful purposes. Do not use Umber to infringe rights, impersonate people, distribute deceptive material, abuse platforms, evade security controls, or submit malicious links or code.
Rights to submitted material
You retain ownership of your material. You confirm that you own or have permission to use and submit each source, including any public YouTube link or uploaded footage. You grant Umber the limited permission needed to review, process, edit, and deliver the requested preview or paid work.
Free previews
A free-preview request is not automatically accepted. Preview type, scope, turnaround, and source eligibility depend on capacity and fit. One request per person or business may be enforced during founding access. A free preview does not begin a paid subscription.
URL demo
The URL demo accepts a public source URL and delivery email, produces no more than three moments, and processes no more than the first 600 seconds of the source. Long sources are not rejected solely for length. One submission per email in a rolling 24-hour period is enforced when each job is created. Processing time is an estimate, not a guarantee. Results are delivered through an emailed link containing an unguessable token, and the recipient is responsible for keeping that link private.
Founding paid access
Plan prices are currently $39 for Clips, $89 for Creator Priority, and a planned $199 for Cloud Beta per month. Creator Priority includes higher short-form capacity, two consolidated revision rounds, and priority production. Cloud Beta is application-only until its paid scope is confirmed. The purchase page or written scope presented before payment controls included outputs, source limits, revisions, turnaround, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms. A website request alone is not a purchase.
Allowances and revisions
Source-minute, clip, and revision allowances are verified manually during founding access. Accepted source durations count toward the combined monthly limit, monthly scope resets without rollover, and any source that would exceed the remaining allowance requires agreement before production. A consolidated revision round means one combined list of requested changes submitted after reviewing the complete delivery. Included revisions cover hook rewrites, caption corrections, and adjustments to the start or end boundary of a selected clip. Selecting a different source moment is a new production request and counts against the customer's remaining monthly source and output allowance.
Approval and performance
Founding workflows are review-first. You remain responsible for final approval, publishing decisions, rights clearance, platform compliance, claims, and the use of delivered material. Umber does not guarantee views, reach, platform distribution, leads, revenue, sales, or virality.
Partners
Partner approval is discretionary. Current intended rewards are $10, $20, and $40 for eligible first payments on the $39, $89, and $199 plans. Final partner terms control attribution, payout timing, refund and dispute treatment, prohibited promotion, self-referrals, and qualifying plans. Misleading claims, impersonation, spam, trademark bidding, and unauthorized incentives are prohibited.
Make Ten
Make Ten is separate from the cash referral program. An eligible customer who completes the first paid month and submits ten distinct, accessible, honest, clearly disclosed videos may qualify for 30 days of account credit. No positive opinion or view threshold is required during founding access. Cosmetic duplicates, inaccessible posts, missing disclosure, ineligible accounts, or unsupported claims may be rejected. Credit has no cash value, is not transferable, and is limited to one founding reward per customer or controlled business unless a later offer states otherwise.
Changes and availability
Founding features, capacity, beta availability, and future pricing may change. Changes do not retroactively alter a paid scope already agreed for its stated period.
Limitation
To the extent allowed by law, Umber is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, platform decisions, lost reach, lost profits, or outcomes outside the agreed production scope. Nothing here removes rights that cannot legally be limited.
